Volunteer FAQ

Why volunteer at VIM?

The relief and the joy our volunteers bring to our patients is felt at VIM; our volunteers are changing lives for the better every day. Some of our patients have been living with medical conditions that worsen over time, resulting in long-term pain, discomfort and a feeling of hopelessness. VIM volunteers help alleviate these issues, allowing our patients to live healthier, happier and more productive lives.

The gift of your time and expertise is one of the most important ways that you can help your community. The work we do at Volunteers In Medicine is incredibly rewarding; take a look at our patient stories or learn more about us and you’ll understand how important our clinic is to the Lane County residents.

What type of experience and/or license is required?

Training is provided for all positions. Pharmacists, physicians and nurses must provide current Oregon licenses (active or emeritus).
