Volunteers In Medicine relies on more than 500 volunteers daily and a strong group of administrative and clinical staff for our day-to-day operations. As part of our team, you will contribute to our long-term mission of ensuring that low-income, underserved Lane County residents have access to quality health care.

Current Opportunities

Volunteers In Medicine Clinic – Springfield. Permanent part- time position – 24 hours per week (outpatient only, no after hour calls or weekends). Open 1/1/2017 This position is a salaried, exempt position.

Principal duties include obtaining patient’s medical and psychosocial history, perform physical and emotional assessments, provides health education, orders appropriate screening and diagnostic testing, and performs assigned minor procedures. This position will also serve as back-up to the Medical Director in his absence. Requires current unrestricted, active licensure by the Oregon Medical Board, with a Oregon practitioner license, with national prescriptive drug privileges with a DEA number. Bilingual/bicultural preferred in working with Latino patients.

Volunteers In Medicine Clinic – Springfield. (Part time 20-25 hours per week, 4 days per week)

The Development Assistant supports the administrative team through efficient office procedures, data base management, donations monitoring and reporting, donor correspondence, and other functions as assigned.

In addition, this position supports the communications of the organization and maintains standards and protocols for print, media, social media and electronic communications, and coordinates, as directed community outreach, development, and clinical materials to ensure a consistent message and professional image for the organization.  This position, as directed by the executive Director, assist with directing, and launching multiple communications, including News Releases, Public Service Announcements (PSA0, and implementation of VIM’s social media communications.  See attached job description for full details of the position.
